Job Description:
- The role carries a focus on helping move complex electrical and electromechanical systems from design toward operational use.
- The ideal candidate will have:
- Familiarity working on high-reliability/mission-critical systems for national defense applications
- A working knowledge of common EEE (electrical, electronic, electromechanical) part failure modes
- Familiarity with micro circuit and semiconductor technologies including bonding, mounting, packaging and interposer
Responsibilities:
- Review the selection, assembly and test of EEE (electrical, electronic, electromechanical) parts to ensure selected parts are reliable, effective and suitable
- Evaluate and inspect design and manufacturing processes for electronic circuits, components, integrated systems and hardware installations, to ensure conformance
- Independently identify failures, research screening and qualification test plans, and recommend potential technical solutions
- Support Failure Review Boards to ensure failure analyses account for defects
- Conduct Parts Materials and Processes Control Boards to mitigate risks of submitted Non-Standard Parts Requests (NSPARS) and Non-Standard Materials Requests (NSMARS) to ensure the guidelines of the MDA (Missile Defense Agency) Parts Materials and Processes Mission Assurance Plan (PMAP) are enforced
- Identification, interface, and management of component suppliers
- Creating and processing documentation updates including generation and maintenance of Source Control Drawings
Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate will have a BS or MS degree in a relevant field such as electrical engineering or manufacturing engineering with 2-10 years of experience
